This is exactly like my old crumbed lamb cutlets except using almond meal instead of regular breadcrumbs. I also ditched the old high carb sides and paired it with some Cauliflower Mash and my homemade Creamy Gravy for a delicious and hearty meal!
A few simple subs gave great Crumbed Lamb Cutlets that taste even better than the original version. No more starchy flavours or uncomfortable bloating are two things I always used to get from foods crumbed with breadcrumbs and I love that there is none of this with these Crumbed Lamb Cutlets!
Crumbed Lamb Cutlets with Cauliflower Mash and Creamy Gravy
Ingredients
- 12 lamb cutlets
- 1 cup almond meal
- 2 tbsp chopped fresh mint
- 1/2 lemon, the zest
- 1 egg, beaten
- 50g butter
- 4 servings Cauliflower Mash
- 1 quantity Creamy Gravy
Instructions
- Combine almond meal, mint and lemon zest in a bowl and season with salt and pepper. Dip lamb cutlets in beaten egg and them crumb with almond meal mix. Repeat until all lamb cutlets are crumbed.
- Melt butter in a large frying pan over medium high heat. Cook cutlets in frying pan until golden on both sides. Serve with cauliflower mash and creamy gravy.
