These Greek Rissoles are made with lamb (what else!) and are really easy to make. They have few ingredients and go really well with my Tzatziki. Usually rissoles from the shop are full of fillers and breadcrumbs and often coated with breadcrumbs also. We used to love buying different flavour combos of rissoles but I did recall when I was eating a lot of them, usually with sides like mashed potatoes, how much weight I put on.
Although I used to miss the rissoles from our butcher these are just as good and I love being able to come up with different flavourings! They go great with salad as a side, like this Greek Salad! If you like these make sure you also check out my Bacon, Onion and Sundried Tomato Rissoles too!
Greek Rissoles
Ingredients
- 500 g lamb mince/ground lamb
- 2 tsp dried oregano
- 1/2 lemon, the zest
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 50 g butter
- salt
- pepper
Instructions
- Combine first 4 ingredients. Divide into 4 balls and flatten into rissoles.
- Heat butter and olive oil and cook rissoles on low heat making sure the middle is cooked through. If you’re worried don’t make the rissoles too thick. Fry on both sides until nicely golden and coloured.
- Serve with Tzatziki and side of your choice, salad is a great option, try this Greek Salad!

Maybe you should change your blog to “The Keto Gourmet.” You certainly are an impressive cook. Too bad lamb is so expensive here, because my family really loves it. Rack of lamb was “on sale” last week for $10 a pound.

Thank you! Lamb is very expensive here too so I stick to mince, lamb chops and lamb legs usually, because they’re priced well when on special. Agree lamb rack is insanely expensive, but so yummy though!
