Okay, so after making Sugar Free Milk Bottles and Sugar Free Chocolate Milk Bottles, plus having a yet unused tin of Avalanche sugar free strawberry drinking mix I had bought with the idea of possibly using in recipes, which had not yet been opened, it seems logical what the next step would be…Sugar Free Strawberry Milk Bottles!
Made from just unsweetened almond milk, gelatine, the strawberry Avalanche and some natural food colouring, these taste really nice! The drinking mix doesn’t add much in the way of colour which is why I included pink food colouring for this one.
Sugar Free Strawberry Milk Bottles
Ingredients
- ⅓ cup unsweetened almond milk
- ¼ cup unsweetened almond milk
- 25 g gelatine
- 2 tsp Avalanche sugar free strawberry drinking mix to taste (available at Coles and Countdown)
- 5 drops natural extract pink food colouring
- Silicone bottle moulds
- Pipette
Instructions
- Add ⅓ cup of milk to a tall jug. Heat in the microwave for 1 minute. Add and whisk in gelatine. Heat another 30 seconds and whisk until gelatine is dissolved.
- Add another ¼ cup almond milk and whisk through. Add strawberry mix, whisk to combine making sure there are no lumps. Add and whisk in food colouring.
- Place your moulds on a tray or similar so they lie flat. Using the pipette, carefully fill your moulds being careful not to put too much. Try and be quick because the gelatine will start to set even out of the fridge. If you don’t have enough moulds, need to do a second batch and your gelatine mix sets, just pop it in the microwave for another 30 seconds to turn it back into liquid.
- Once your moulds are full, refrigerate until set, approximately an hour. Gently pop out your milk bottles. If they are fully set they should come out easily.
- Keep stored in the fridge.

Where do you find the Avalanche strawberry mix?

In Australia you can find it in Coles with all the other drinking mixes. If in the US then I’m afraid it’s not sold there but you could use any sugar free drinking mix you liked. This one is just great because it’s sweetened with erythritol and has few added ingredients.
